Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.


Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, lcustom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products).  Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.


Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.


European Union 14 day cooling off period
Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.


Refunds 

Thank you for choosing a handmade heirloom for a little one in your life. Every Gertie’s piece is cut, sewn, and finished by hand in small batches. Some pieces are ready to ship, and others are made to order especially for your child.

Because our pieces are handmade in small quantities, with many sewn to order, all sales are final and we are unable to accept returns or exchanges. We appreciate you supporting handmade work, where every piece carries real hours of someone’s hands.

We always stand behind what we make. If your item arrives damaged, has a flaw in the sewing or materials, or is not the item you ordered, please contact us within 7 days of delivery with a photo and we will repair, replace, or refund it.

The happiest way to get the perfect fit is to check the measurements listed on each item before you order. If you are unsure of sizing, message us first and we will gladly help you choose.

If your order is being made to order, please reach out within 24 hours if you need to change or cancel it. Once we have cut the fabric and begun sewing, the materials are committed to your piece and we are no longer able to cancel or change it. (Ready-to-ship items can be canceled any time before they are mailed.)

Each garment is custom sewn or embroidered, so small natural variations are part of its charm, and colors may look a little different from one screen to another. These are not considered flaws.
